Visitors from NC

Toby, Addie, Caleb, and Leisel

Joyce and the kids were out visiting from June 5 to June 23. In the time they were here, we sold our house and bought another...so we were much busier than I had hoped and missed out on a week of their stay. But...

We spent the first week playing in T-town (or avoiding the rain).

I'm almost 6 months pregnant now, but here's my five month belly shot. This poor baby has sort of taken a back seat at the moment as we were enthralled with trying to find a home for all of us come July. Now that homelessness is almost not an issue, we ought to start talking about names! Any suggestions?

We also celebrated Toby's 3rd bday and Father's Day together as well.

well...sometimes she joins in to party

We had the house inspected on Tuesday and everything looks to be pretty manageable. There are a few minor things, but nothing major. I'll post more pics of the house later.

New House

We've got ourselves a beautiful new house in Blue Springs! I've attached some pictures, but they're just from the realtor's website. We have inspection on Tuesday, so I'll get more pictures then.

We love it! It's much nicer than we ever thought we'd have...

We'll close on July 21st...assuming everything goes as planned!

SOLD

Okay...so we're still showing our house for back ups, but we ended up selling within 24 hours of putting our house on the market! Isn't that insane? We haven't even been to the bank for a pre-approval. We thought we'd have plenty of time to get that done and weren't even going to look at houses until we knew how our house was doing on the market.

It's a good problem to have, but our realtor told us that we needed to make an offer on a house in less than 2 weeks in order for us to time our closing dates! YIKES! WE found one house we really liked in Blue Springs, but it ended up getting a contract on it the day that we looked at it.

Wish us luck!

House on the market

As if finding out the gender of our baby wasn't enough excitement for one week, we've finally got our house on the market. It's been a great house...and I was really sad to tell our neighbors when we put up the sign. But---- it's best for our family. We are hoping to get into a bigger house and take advantage of the good mortgage rates. We've decided to put it up until September and if it doesn't sell, we'll just take it off and get the baby room ready before she comes in October.

If you know anyone who's looking for a starter home...here's the link to view it:

My sister and folks are coming back in town tonight and Joyce and her three kids should be here for about 2 1/2 weeks. I'm looking forward to seeing them. Especially those nephews and my chubby little baby Leisel! :)

Addie's going to have a little...

SISTER!

That's right folks! It appears that we have a little girl on the way. I say that b/c the baby wouldn't let us have much of a peek, but we thought we caught three little lines in the nether region...indicating girl parts.

Boy, were we shocked. Even Addie was convinced it was going to be a boy. Guess I'll be getting my baby girls clothes back from my sister!

We only got four sonogram pictures...sorry the quality of the photo isn't that great.

The most important thing of all is that the baby is healthy. We saw every little body part, including her tongue when she opened her mouth.

Three little lines...

The pictures weren't as good this time around as they were with Addie, but the technician was very informative. She pointed out the kidneys, the bladder, even the belly button where the umbilical cord entered her body. She showed us that the cord was a three vessel cord and pointed out all the parts of her brain. It was very reassuring.

Well, that's it folks!!! Are you surprised, or did you know it was a girl all along?
