BIG changes... maybe not big. Actually, quite small. But they do make a BIG difference!

Eliza is going to preschool every Tuesday and Thursday am. She seems to like it when we get there, but does some whining about leaving home. I think she's afraid she's going to miss out on something fun.

We finally moved her out of her toddler bed and into a big girl bed. I refinished this solid Jenny Lind bed that we got off Craigslist. The woman who we bought it from had it as a child and it was her Aunt's before I'm guessing this thing is an antique. Too bad I "ruined"" it with my paint job. I love how it turned out, however!

Sleeping beauty...

I've been doing little Pinterest projects as well. Don't you love these lanterns I put up on our Front porch? I just need to add tea lights.

Grady is ornerier than ever. He's becoming quite a handful. He loves to wreck things and wreak havoc on everything that is orderly and serene. I couldn't love him any more though!

This boy is as perfect as ever. I can't believe he used to ever annoy me. Joy Joy!

Sweet Addie Sue is rocking 2nd grade!

She just got picked to be the TOP CAT of her class (voted by her peers) and will belong to a small group of kiddos who exhibit leadership qualities. Not sure exactly what that means, but she was STOKED when she came home from school today. Her face was on the main bulletin board as well!!!

This is a funny little note I found on her door the other day... guess she's getting tired of Eliza and her friends going into her room and playing with her stuff while she's at school. The funny thing is that none of them can she wasted the lead in her pencil! :)

Later...until the next BIG or little change happens.

Hi Mom!

I'm sure you're the only one reading this right now...

I stink. I couldn't even remember the password to sign in. That's how long it's been since I've updated.

Summer is coming to a close...

My little people and I made a bucket list that was full of a grandiose activities...and small ones too. We accomplished a lot. We didn't do a few. Guess we'll have to put them on next summer's bucket list.

Some highlights this summer include:

  • Zoo trips
  • yogurtini trips
  • Slip 'n Slide
  • Water balloon fight
  • sleepovers
  • Lemonade stand (A made enough money to finally get her AG doll)
  • mini golf
  • made a fort (actually a real one). I'll show you our improved playset when it's all done!
  • swim lessons
  • bowling
  • fireworks
  • fishing
  • Music in the Park (BS has a fun band every Sunday night)
  • and our favorite summer activity...
    • COLORADO- where we went rafting, horseback riding, camping, hiking, & mountain biking

     View from our balcony

     Addie and Choctaw
E and I on our horse...can't remember her name.

    Alpine slide in Winter Park

Grady threw the girls Jasmine dolls off the balcony.

We had a fabulous time in CO!
Next summer, we will have to visit the BlueBerry patch, go to the Omaha zoo, and Shatto Dairy farm. Those were on the list, but never worked out. We planned on going to a movie too, but G-man would be a maniac in the theatre, so get'r done next summer as well.

School starts next week. Addie just got her teacher's name and saw her class list. Mrs. Leiker is her name and her good friend Maddy is in her class for the third year in a row! She's estatic!

Until next time...whenever that might be!
