FIVE

Addie Sue is FIVE years old...

she survived shots at the doctor's office,  she's doing well in preschool, we had a great big girl bday party...

THIS GIRL IS READY FOR KINDERGARTEN!

We went to a pottery place for her party. I told her she could invite 5 friends. We had a good group of kiddos!

The kids each got to paint a piece of pottery. Addie Sue painted a butterfly.
 Kaden painted a robot.
 Leah painted a butterfly.
 Abby painted an inchworm.
 Andrew painted a robot.
 Sydney painted a mug.
 Brody painted...hmmm...I'm can't tell!
Regardless, they all had a blast!!!
My friend, Tara, made a Rapunzel cake. We just loved the movie Tangled so it was a perfect theme for a painted party!
Andrew and Kaden had a blower showdown.

Singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Here is the birthday girl with her friends Leah and Abby!
 The whole silly crew again!
It's hard to believe that five years have gone by since my Addie Sue was born. She's such a delight. She's every bit as smart and sassy as I thought she'd be too! I love her creativity, her gentleness towards others, how easily she catches on to concepts, and the funny sayings that come out of her mouth. She's a natural at so many things, it will be fun to see who she becomes and what her interest will be in the coming years.

We love you Addie Sue!

If I were a Carpenter...

I'm not talking about Karen Carpenter...although I dig her too. I'm having so much fun building things! Here's my latest project: a bookshelf for Eliza's room.

This shelf took me less than $17 to make!

Here are the finished crates I made too. Only took about $8 to make TOTAL!

This is going to be a short update, but here's some pics of my sweetie pies!

Eliza is climbing now....and falling a lot too. Micah got a pretty sad video of her falling a minute after this photo was taken. :(
The girls are being silly here...makes it hard to cook dinner.

 brushing teeth...
pushing each other around ( and leaving long streaks on the floor).
Lounging around and reading...

Right now, I'm in the process of "building" a doll house for Addie. However, I'm using a kit. There is no way that I could with MY skills- Much too difficult. I've been mulling over building one for some time b/c I wanted to have a nice wooden doll house the girls could enjoy and, hopefully, my grandchildren too! Gigi and Papa said they would buy it for her birthday- It's in two weeks, so there's a lot to do in the meantime!
