Saving our pennies
Nothing too exciting happened this week, but we did manage to get a few photos of our girl keeping busy around the house.
She's the funnest age ever! She's doing so many new things everyday, there's no way I could write them all down...but I try anyway.
She's pretty good about getting her diaper changed nowadays. In fact, when we ask her if she's ready to be changed, she gets her diaper pad and lays down with her legs straight up in the air.
She also loves to walk backwards and go down the stairs upright...like we older people do. It scares me half to death, but she's smiling the whole time. She really has no fear at this point in her life. She'll go down any slide, climb any hill, and pet any animal. She'd probably skydive if we gave her the chance.
She loves to put coins in her piggy bank too. We all emptied our pockets and purses just to see her put them in. But we have to watch her like hawks b/c she tries to put them in her mouth when she thinks we won't catch her. It's like she has this uncontrollable impulse that she just can't pass up.
She still only has four teeth on the bottom. None on top, no molars, nothing. But she ACTS like she's going to get one anytime. We'll see.
Here she is yesterday after we went to a 25th wedding anniversary party. She was such a trooper. She hardly got a nap at all before we had to wake her for the party. Afterwards, we went through some spring tour homes for fun. We had fun dreaming about our next house and Addison got her fill of stairs to climb and doors to shut. By the time we got home, we all were pooped!
We're still working on weaning. Addison doesn't like cow's milk so I've been nursing 2-3 times a day still. Today, however, she hasn't nursed yet so maybe we're making progress toward just one nursing session a day. I have to get her weaned by June so that we can go on a float trip with some friends. My poor parents are going to have a fussy one on their hands if I don't have her weaned by then.
I had to put this picture in...she was so sleepy that I didn't even wake her with my picture taking.
This here is our bubba dog, Lucas. He just turned 3 last week. He's outside most of the time so I don't talk about him on our post very much anymore. But, he's such a doll baby. I love our dogs so much still...even though we have a busy baby to keep up with. They are awesome dogs.

Our little farmer
We met the Morgans (and some of their friends) at the Deanna Rose Farm on Saturday. Addie had a great time feeding the goats. The weather was really nice. And the best part (if you asked Micah) was that we stumbled across a new Chick-fil-A on the way home!

Toe Fetish
If you have a foot phobia, you might want to skip this post. Addison's new fascination has been her toes this past week (or anyone else's for that matter). She likes to pull the lint out from between them, eat them, wiggle them, hold a spoon between them...you name it!
Warning: Some of these photos are downright DISGUSTING!
Here is Addison modeling a beautiful crocheted outfit my mother made her. She wore it to church on Sunday.
Addison is such a doll. I think I like this age the best so far. She's very expressive and so much fun. It's so cute to see what she picks up from watching us. She seems to be a very clever little girl.
Here's a couple of my favorite photos taken this week:
On Sunday evening she wore her backpack around the house and had part of a chocolate chip cookie. Can you tell?
We obviously take too long to fill the tub with water. Addie can't wait to get in. Fortunately, she's too short to get her leg over the top as of yet.
Addendum by Micah: It seems that no matter how many tissues we use, Addie seems to have a perpetual river of snot running from her nose. Seriously, we clean her nose and then 1 minute later it looks like a couple of slugs escaped from her nostrils. Oh well...

Happy Easter
Hopefully, everyone had a great Easter weekend. Of course, Easter isn't about egg hunts, candy, or bunnies, but we managed to squeeze those in on Sunday anyway.
We went to church (I had to work in the nursery during the second service). Addie had an egg hunt. We had lunch with my parents and the Wilson's (Micah's sister and her family). Mom did most of the cooking for lunch (thank goodness b/c I'm a terrible cook) and Debbie made a carrot cake in the shape of a bunny... And Addie entertained us for the afternoon. It was a great day.
This is the best shot I could get of Addie in her dress. I think she tore her bow out shortly after this picture was taken. If you ask me, she's a natural beauty...who else can wear tights that sag down to her ankles and bloomers falling of her bottom and still look so cute?
Addie was so tired, she even laid her head down on Lauren's shoulder! She rarely does this with anyone, so we were all very impressed with Lauren's skills.
Luckily, the Wilson's love dogs too, so they didn't mind our four-legged furballs. Lucas is soaking up the attention Aaron was handing out.
Afterwards, Addie wore her teddy bear backpack around the house and played like crazy. I think it was b/c of the sugar we let her have (she loved that carrot cake). Addie has also started folding her hands together when we pray. Unfortunately, we haven't gotten a picture of it yet because we're praying too, of course. It's very precious.
She played with her stacking rings and sorted shapes and CLIMBED everywhere.
Can you tell which one Lucas got a hold of? Addie got the first ring right and the last one. She did a great job!
At bathtime, she and Daddy fought over her toys.
I'm working on getting a video up. Right now, my stupid computer only will let me save it as a file that is incompatible with blogger.
Nevermind, I never did get my video to work with blogger, so here are a couple cute snippets from it:
