Don't ya love this shirt?
Seems like there is so much happening these days, I don't even know where to begin.
First, I lost my job with Parents As Teachers. It was the best job I've ever had and I'm really sad. Governor Nixon cut the program so much that our district decided to eliminate all 31 part-time positions. It looks like I'll be home for the duration, unless something else comes along. I don't get bored and I love staying home- but I'll miss the families I visited and the small (but wonderful) paycheck!
Next, Eliza has been so sick ever since she turned 6 months. For about three weeks, she battled a high fever intermittently. Every time I called the doc office, they would say there was a virus going around and she probably caught them back to back. Finally, I wouldn't take that for an answer anymore. There had to be an underlying cause for it to keep creeping back up. Turns out, she had a UTI (urinary tract infection).
Although, it is easily treated, the doc is concerned about her getting one at such a young age. So- next week, we will head into Children's Mercy and have an ultrasound done to make sure there is no kidney damage. Eliza will also have to have a catheter put in where they will inject some dye to see if her urine is going back up into her kidneys (uterine reflux). We'll know more about treatment then.
Let's see, oh, Eliza got her hair cut. I cut about 2 inches off the back because she had a mullet!
We met up with Memaw and Epa one Saturday for lunch. Here's a picture of them holding E while A and I ran through a fountain spray.
I got some cute shots of Addie while we were mulling about. She didn't want me to take her picture and kept playing coy with me. But, I managed to get some cute ones!
Finally, Eliza is 7 months old!
The poor girl had a rough month in May with really high fevers and trouble sleeping (her mommy too)...so let's hope June goes much better! We'd love any prayers for little E regarding her anatomy and appointment on June 8th.
Misc. photos:
Lexi and Ava came over to play one day last week!
Addie and Eliza set up shop behind the couch and played while I cooked dinner one night.
Eliza wants to move...really bad.
They both turn into zombies when the TV is on.
Addie loves to dance. I caught an action shot of her the other night.
No explanation for this one!
A healthy (and mostly happy) baby

Beth,
This is your nurse mother. The correct word is not uterine, but ureteral reflux.
Love you anyway.
Mom
I hope they can help you with all that is going on we will be praying for you all.
